LEP welcomes Wave Hub announcement

The Cornwall and Isles of Scilly Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) has welcomed an announcement that leading wave energy company Seatricity is to develop a 10MW array over the next two years at Wave Hub, the offshore renewable energy test facility in Cornwall.

Leading wave energy company Seatricity is to develop a 10MW array over the next two years at Wave Hub, the offshore renewable energy test facility in Cornwall. UK based Seatricity plans to deploy its second generation device at Wave Hub next year before building out to a full scale grid-connected array in 2015.

Wave Hub appoints new commercial director

Wave Hub, the offshore renewable energy test facility in Cornwall, has recruited one of the industry’s leading commercial managers. Stuart Herbert has been appointed as Wave Hub’s commercial director to lead negotiations with companies planning to use the test site and identify new business opportunities.
